On September 25, 2018, YAKSHA was invited to the Panel at CSM-ACE 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Cyber Security Malaysia – Awards, Conference & Exhibition (CSM-ACE) is a public-private-partnership driven event and a knowledge sharing platform that recognises contribution of individuals and organisations in the field of cybersecurity. It is the biggest Cybersecurity industry event in Malaysia and the only 3-in-1 Cybersecurity event in the region, organised by CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM), the National cybersecurity specialist centre under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia. The CSM-ACE 2018 held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from the 24th to 28th September 2018, gathered more than 800 Cybersecurity industry experts and community members to exchange ideas on security management, policy and technology.
Project coordinator SPI, represented by Mr. Nishant Shandilya, Senior Consultant, spoke at the panel on Securing the ecosystem for 4IR – Defending against Cyber Attack. The esteemed panel included three other experts: Ir. Md Shah Nuri Md Zain, Chief Executive, National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA); Dr. Suhazimah Dzazali, Deputy Director General (ICT), Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU); and Mr. Chris Carter, General Manager, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
The panel discussed on how security needs to be an enabler to power innovation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. There was an extended discussion on how to defend against ecosystem attacks on augmented physical and cyber systems. At this occasion, Mr. Shandilya explained how YAKSHA aims to reinforce European Union (EU) and Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) cooperation and build partnerships in the Cybersecurity domain by developing a solution tailored to specific users and national needs, leveraging EU Know-how and expertise.
